1 Introduction

Spendify ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") is an offline personal finance manager and budget planner designed for individuals who value privacy, speed, and simplicity.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Spendify mobile application on iOS, Android, or desktop platforms. By installing and using Spendify, you acknowledge and agree to the terms described in this policy.

2 Information We Collect

We collect zero personal information. Spendify operates entirely offline. We do not collect, transmit, store, sell, license, or share any personal, financial, or behavioral information with anyone.

All data entered into the app remains exclusively stored locally on your device, including:

• Transactions: Amounts, dates, notes, and payment types (expenses, incomes, transfers).
• Accounts & Wallets: Bank names, cash balances, and wallet titles.
• Budgets: Category limits, thresholds, and financial goals.
• Credit Cards: Card names, credit limits, and last four digits (no full card numbers or CVVs are ever requested).
• Loans & Liabilities: Principal amounts, interest rates, tenures, and EMI calculations.
• Investment Portfolios: Assets, invested capital, and recorded valuations.
• Preferences: Primary currency selection, theme settings, and reminder times.

3 Local Data Storage & Backups

Spendify stores all your information locally using an encrypted-ready SQLite database inside your device's sandboxed application directory.

We strongly encourage users to regularly export and back up their database file to a secure destination of their choice.

4 Device Permissions

Spendify only requests minimal device permissions strictly required to provide specific features:

• Notifications: Required only if you choose to enable the optional daily evening reminder to log your daily spending. Notifications are generated and scheduled 100% locally on your device without any external push server.
• Storage / Files: Requested only when you explicitly export a database backup file or import an existing .books.db backup from your device's file manager.

You can revoke these permissions at any time via your device's system settings.

5 Third-Party Services & Analytics

Spendify does not include any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, crash reporting tools that collect personal data, or data brokers.

• No Google Firebase Analytics
• No Meta / Facebook Pixel
• No Advertising Identifiers (IDFA / AAID)
• No User Fingerprinting

When you check for app updates or download Spendify, the transaction is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play Store) subject to their respective privacy policies.

6 Children's Privacy

Spendify is not directed toward children under 13 years of age. Since the app does not collect personal data from any user, it does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children.

7 Data Deletion & Retention

Because your data is stored solely on your device:

• You can delete individual records (transactions, accounts, cards, budgets) at any time inside the app.
• You can create or switch between finance books.
• Deleting or uninstalling the Spendify application from your device will permanently erase all local database records, unless you previously created an external export.

8 Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect new features or platform requirements. Any updates will be published on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
